Our Core Values

Gecko Squared is a team of real people, aligned in common values. Below are the six values that we aspire to live by on the Gecko Squared team.

honesty and integrity in every action

We value honesty and integrity as both individuals and as a company. We strive to make all communication with each other and clients clear and avoid making assumptions.

As a team we view honesty and integrity as an effective way to work remotely and establish a culture of trust.

We ask questions early on and share our thoughts to avoid big revelations and misunderstandings both with each other and with clients.

Focus on making the client happy

A happy client means we’ve provided a service that has, at a minimum met their expectation, although we aim to far exceed it in both the results we deliver and the service we provide.

We achieve this by paying attention to the details and being honest with our clients, setting realistic expectations based on the position of their business.

We don’t over sell or exaggerate, we listen carefully, set expectations and then over deliver so that they recommend us to their friends.

Pay attention to the details

Advertising is won at the detailed level. We are data driven in our approach, letting the numbers do the talking.

The details matter and our focus on them separates us from the regular agency experience, where clients end up feeling like they don’t matter. We treat every client’s business as if it were our own.

Leave your ego at the door

We operate as no-ego doers, approaching client conversations with the knowledge that it’s a privilege to serve them.

We are grateful for the work our teammates do to push the company forward and respect that we all start somewhere.

We don’t get emotionally attached to our ad ideas and strategies.

Adopt continuous improvement

We have a higher expectation of ourselves and of the services we provide than anyone else.

We are of a growth mind-set and believe that any skill or talent can be learned though specific action and practice.

We choose to be where we are the happiest and most productive.

Pause for reflection

Self-reflection and examining ones self-awareness ensures you don’t get caught up in seemingly trivial aspects of life, both personally and professionally.

We take the approach that everything is a hypothesis and that the data can show that you are wrong.

We listen first and ask questions seeking to understand before trying to be understood.
